Digital skills are too important to the future of everyday people. That's why Shaelyn Otikor-Miller walked away from a 30-year Fortune 500 career at the height of it. Because legacy isn't built in boardrooms, it's built when someone gets the job, advances in life, and goes back to show someone else how. She's a firm believer in Each One. Teach One. The idea that if every person teaches one other, society moves forward together. Digital equity isn't a program. It's a practice.
For three decades, Shaelyn was the person business units called when digital transformation had to actually work, not just look good in a slide deck. As Senior Vice President and Head of Global Digital Workplace Strategy at a Fortune 500 international financial institution, she led Microsoft 365 and generative AI rollouts across 20 countries, managed a $25M budget, and built the learning and adoption systems that made change stick. Forty percent adoption increases. A 1,000-person peer learning community. The firm's first generative AI rollout in a regulated environment. Not hypothetical results. Real, tangible outcomes.
At a large-scale digital transformation industry forum, Shaelyn stood up and told the truth: the bureaucratic red tape, the emotional resistance, the late nights and long weekends, words that resonated amongst her peers in attendance. Afterward, leaders from companies across the industry came up and said the same thing: that felt like my story. That moment confirmed what she already suspected. Her real gift isn't just execution. It's making people feel seen in the middle of the hardest work of their careers. Coaching, motivating, and inspiring people by building trust is one of her largest strengths.

Driven by a passion for sharing what she'd spent decades learning, Shaelyn made a deliberate pivot, founding Beyond Boundaries Without Measures (BBWM), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit delivering free computer, digital literacy, and AI training to adult learners across South Suburban Cook County in Illinois. A community-based computer lab she built to share her expertise by teaching free classes to underserved adults being left behind. Because watching someone land a job, start a business, or finally feel confident with technology they'd been afraid of, that's the legacy that matters.

Today, Shaelyn brings both worlds into one through Sheom Consulting, her consulting practice where she designs and leads AI training programs, including her flagship program, AI Elevate. She works with nonprofits, small businesses, and organizations ready to stop falling behind on AI and start using it to do real work. Not theoretical jargon, ideas on paper, or planning workshops that don't lead to implementation. Hands-on, practical, human-first transformation delivered by someone who has done this at every level: from Fortune 500 boardrooms to community classrooms.
